Spread-out Scuol (1,250 m) is the main resort in the Lower Engadine. It’s a health spa, and there are around 25 mineral springs in the vicinity. Lower Scuol is well worth a wander; it has some incredibly quaint Engadine dwellings and cobbled squares.
Sent (just 14 minutes by bus from Scuol) is a scenic village situated on a sunny terrace above Scuol (1,440m). The alpine skiing area of Motta Naluns (2,146 m, with lifts up to 2,800 m) is within easy reach of the villages of Scuol and Sent. It offers 80 km of magical slopes, snow park with super pipe, spacious diverse free ride area, 4 km sledding track from Priu to Ftan, sunny winter walking paths and much more.
How to get there: Hourly trains from Chur to Scuol-Tarasp (2 hrs., change in Landquart). From Scuol to Sent buses take 14 minutes only and run until late.
